My name is Gordon Barnaby and I have been a celebrant for over 16 years and assisted by my wife Diana, we have carried out many forms of ceremony both of weddings and renewal of vows, namings etc. The venues for the ceremonies have included beaches, reserves, private homes and churches.
I have been a Justice of The Peace since 1977, a member of the Celebrants Guild of New Zealand Inc. and also a member of CANZ, the Celebrants Association Of New Zealand whose objectives are:
- To maintain high standards among celebrants including ethical standards and standards of cultural respect and sensitivity.
- To provide advice and information in the effective performance of their duties.
My personal goal in providing services is to ensure that the parties to the ceremony and their guests feel comfortable, relaxed and able to appreciate the importance of the event.
I endeavour to be dignified and give sound professional advice and assistance to all.
